1. |
A passenger who takes or hires any through
coaches or any transit vehicles of any size provided by the Company
from Hong Kong to the Mainland shall understand clearly and abide
by this Notes to Passengers stipulated by the Company from time
to time. The term "the Company" includes China Travel
Tours Transportation Services Hong Kong Ltd. (hereinafter called
"CTTTS") and its associate companies and other companies
from which CTTTS hire the vehicle for service. |

A ticket is valid for the scheduled run on
the day at designated time. A passenger should arrive at the designated
boarding point 10 minutes prior to departure. No waiting for a
late passenger. |
3. |
A ticket can only be valid for one passenger.
For the route from Hong Kong Airport to the Mainland, a passenger
who has reached 12 years of age or above is charged adult fare;
a passenger who has reached 2 years of age and has not reached
12 years of age is charged child fare. An infant under 2 years
of age not occupying a separate seat is free of charge. For the
route from Hong Kong City to the Mainland, a passenger who has
reached 6 years of age or above is charged adult fare; a passenger
who has reached 2 years of age and has not reached 6 years of
age is charged child fare; an infant under 2 years of age not
occupying a separate seat is free of charge. |

A passenger shall possess a valid exit/entry
permit to pass through the check points. A passenger shall bear
the responsibilities if he/she is not allowed to pass through
the check points due to his/her document or visa that does not
conform to the rules and regulations of both Hong Kong and Guangdong.
The Company shall not make any compensation and the ticket is
not refundable. |
5. |
In accordance with regulations of Hong Kong
government and the Mainland, a passenger is not allowed to carry
on board any inflammable or explosive or smuggling goods or any
contraband that both customs forbid. Should any cases happen,
inclusive of goods detained or confiscated due to a passenger's
violation of the above provision, the violator shall be held responsible
for any consequences, including compensating the Company for any
loss arising therefrom. |
6. |
For any hindrance to a vehicle's moving on
due to the inspection of a passenger's personal document, baggage,
articles or any other goods, the Company's driver is entitled
to decide at his/her absolute discretion whether to wait or how
long to wait. No compensation should be claimed by a passenger. |
7. |
A passenger holding an adult-fare ticket is
entitled to free baggage allowance of 10 kg. Extra weight will
be charged HKD50.00 per kg. The Company has the right and absolute
discretion to reject transportation of any overweight, overlength
or oversize baggage whose length width and height adds up to more
than 150cm or any other goods that is regarded undesirable to
be placed in the vehicle. No objection should be raised by the
passengers. |
8. |
Baggage are carried or placed in the baggage
cabin by the passengers at their own risk. Thus, the Company reminds
all passengers that each person should take care of his/her baggage
and carry valuable goods with himself/herself at all times. The
Company is not liable for any loss suffered by a passenger under
any circumstances. |
9. |
The Company shall not be responsible for
any delay on the scheduled journey due to traffic conditions,
delay in crossing the check points, mechanical breakdown or traffic
accidents or any other reasons whatsoever. No compensation should
be claimed by a passenger. |
10. |
A passenger shall be aware that every run
may not be a one-stop and one-vehicle service. The Company has
the absolute discretion to arrange boarding points or stops or
transit vehicles (such as transit at Huanggang port) for a run
in accordance with passengers' source, transportation capacity
and dispatch conditions. The Company has the absolute discretion
to request a passenger to transfer to a substitution vehicle arranged
by CTTTS for the destination. |
11. |
Subject to the following, single-journey tickets
sold in Hong Kong may be refunded from the original booking office
if request for refund is made more than 2 working days prior to
scheduled departure as indicated on the ticket at a rate of 50%
off the fare. Group tickets, free tickets, round-trip tickets
and open round-trip tickets as well as single-journey tickets
sold in Mainland are however not refundable. |
12. |
Should transportation be held up due to a
hoist of signal No 8 or above or any other unforeseen circumstances,
the Company has the absolute discretion to transfer the concerned
passengers to exit through Lo Wu border or to other locations
where safe means of transportation is provided or adopt any other
measures for the sake of passengers' safety. Under these circumstances,
the Company has the absolute discretion to issue part refunds
to the passengers in accordance with individual cases. Should
the Company fail to perform normal transportation services due
to Signal No 8 or any other unforeseen circumstances, a passenger
may claim a refund from the Company or branches of Hong Kong China
Travel Service Ltd. within one month from the scheduled date indicated
on the ticket. Out-of-time claim is not acceptable. If signal
No.3 or below is hoisted within 2 hours before the scheduled departure
and the company's transportation service is back to normal, no
refund shall be issued to a passenger who missed his/her scheduled
vehicle. The Company shall not be responsible for any inconvenience
or loss arising from signal No. 8 or above or any other unforeseen
circumstances. |
13 |
Based on traffic regulations, a passenger
shall get on or down a vehicle at the designated points for the
sake of his/her safety. |
14 |
A transportation vehicle provided may be
owned by CTTTS or its associate companies and other companies
from which CTTTS hire the same for service. Transit vehicles used
in Mainland are provided by Mainland's related vehicle-hire companies
or organizations. The companies or organizations which provide
transportation services shall be liable for all safety and insurance
of the passengers they carry. A passenger may inquire about the

The Company and all other organizations which
provide vehicles have purchased third-party liability insurance
and other insurance coverage both in Hong Kong and the Mainland.
In case of a traffic accident, the Company shall not be liable
for any other compensations except to pay the sufferer an indemnity
according to insurance regulations stipulated by insurance companies.
Should a traffic accident occur in the Mainland, an injured passenger
shall not leave the scene of accident (except for a passenger
sent to a hospital )until local public security and traffic policemen
appear to deal with the matter and take record. The Company will
not be responsible for any refusal of indemnity from insurance
companies due to the absence of a passenger without authorization
or the lack of record taken by local policemen. |

In accordance with relevant provisions of
Terms and Conditions of International Passengers Services issued
by Hong Kong Government's Transport Department, the Company is
entitled to request a passenger to present his/her valid document
and visa for inspection. No objection by a passenger is permitted. |
17 |
The Company reserves the right to make any
amendment to the Notes to Passenger without prior notice. All
provisions of this Notes to Passenger shall be applied to any
transportation services offered by the company and other entities
which provide vehicles in the name of CTTTS, including providing
through coaches, transit vehicles or vehicle-hiring services.
The Company has the exclusive right to interpret all the provisions
of this Notes to Passengers. |

This Notes to Passengers is written in both
Chinese and English. Should there be any discrepancy between the
two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail. |

This Notes to Passengers comes into effect
from May 1st, 2002

1. |
Passengers shall produce valid travel documents
before boarding the bus, otherwise the bus reserves the right
to refuse passage. |
2. |
Tickets are nonrefundable after purchase.
Changes of the ticket are permitted within three months from the
day of departure on a round-trip ticket but not if the ticket
has been altered. |
3. |
Each passenger is entitled to carry one luggage
and one hand carry but shall not carry items that are subject
to levied taxes. |
4. |
Passengers are advised to be vigilant with
travel documents and valuable items. The company shares no responsibility
for any loss or damage. |
5. |
Make sure to claim your own luggage. Please
call 2723923 if a wrong case is taken by mistake. |
6. |
The company will not compensate for any injury
to passengers as a result of an accident that occurs due to uneven
roads or sudden avoidance of vehicles. |
7. |
All morning bus services are suspended when
the Observatory announces a Typhoon 8 signal or black storm warning
sign before 6:30am. Please call for information of afternoon bus
services after 9am. The refunding or change of ticket will be
accepted for canceled bus service within three months of the scheduled
date. |
8. |
The passenger has the obligation to present
valid travel documents for verification by company staff prior
to boarding the bus |
9. |
All the buses of this company carry third
party insurance coverage. |
10. |
Full fare tickets are required for all children
above two years of age and children under two years old can travel
free but no seat is provided. |
