Guiyang is an ancient alpine city that is 1,071 meters above sea level and is the capital of Guizhou province. The residents include both Han and minority nationality people such as the Miaos and Bouyeis. It was a sheltered city but is now a more open, progressive city having undergone major construction and development with many national enterprises.The
trunk railways; Guizhou-Guangxi, Sichan-Guizhou, Guiyang-Kunming and Hunan-Guizhou Railways join here and there are scheduled flights from Guiyang to major cities all over the country. It is a popular tourist region in southwest China.

   
Qianling Park - is located in the northwest corner of the city and named for Mount Qianling, known as the "the first mountain in south Guizhou". It is landscaped in the spirit of Guizhou Plateau, with old towering trees, gentle springs and peculiar rock formations. There are 1,500 types of trees, flowers

Jiaxiu Pavilion - was built in 1587 on a huge rock in Nanming River.
Huangguoshu Waterfall - are 150 kilometers from Guiyang. The main falls is 84 meters across at the top, and its drop is 67 meters. The towering falls, caves and stone forests surround the scenic area.
