| Lanzhou
- is on the upper reaches of the Yellow River lying in the eastern
part of the Hexi Corridor. Lanzhou is a beautiful city in a long,
narrow strip of cultivated land at an elevation of 1,500 meters
inhabited by a population of 1.3 million, representing more than
10 nationalities including the Han, Hui, Manchu, Dongxiang,
Tibetan, and Mongolian. Lanzhou,called
