Shantou is a famous seaport city located in the southeast Guangdong Province and is one of the 5 special economic zones of China. The population exceeds four million and is primarily a shipping town connecting Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Haikou. Shantou has plenty of scenic spots, such as quasi scenic spot, Mayu Island, and so on.

Mayu Island - is just outside the city is Mayu Island and very popular with leisure facilities. Other scenic spots are Zhongshan Park, QinYun Temple, Tashan Temple, Lishan Temple, Lianhua Peak, Song Well and Qin Ao Gulf Sea Beach.
