Shijiazhuang - is the provincial capital of Hebei. After the founding of the People's Republic, it became a progressive city focusing on textile, chemical and machinery industries. Textiles is the fastest growing and accounts for one-third of the city's total manufacturing. This sector's products are supplied to both internal and external markets but the chemical industry has developed into an important sector for primary chemistry, chemical fertilizers, medicine and plastics. The Huabei Pharmaceutical Factory is China's largest integrated producer of medical products, including antibiotics, asylum and glucose. The city's power industry started recently and have already established electric power, metallurgical and coal industries to pave the way for oil, building materials and light industry development.

Cangyan Mountain - is famed as the "Pearl of Taihang Mountains".
Longxing Buddhist Monastery - possesses the biggest, bronze Buddha statue in the country with four famous pagodas in Zhengding county - Lingxiao Pagoda, Hua Pagoda, Chengling Pagoda, and Xumi Pagoda.
