Air

There are daily flights from Kunming to Dali and the journey takes about half an hour. Air Tickets can be booked online at www.chinatravelOne.com or the local CTS office at Jianshe Road in Xiaguan.

Railway
There are trains that depart from Kunming at 22:10and arrive at Dali at 6:45 the next morning. The train number is 212/2 and price is 70 RMB for a hard berth. The return train departs from Dali at 21:26 and arrives Kunming at 6:40. The number is 214/1 and price is 70 RMB for a hard berth. The tickets can be booked only in the lobby of the 35108 Army Guest House at Jianshe Road. (office hour: 9:30~17:30). Tel: 2189330.

Bus
There are three major bus stations at the same Jianshe Road in Dali
1) The largest one is Dali Passenger Transport Main Service situated at 21 Jianshe Road where most of the depart every 30 minutes. Hours of operation are from 07:30 to 20:00 with prices ranging from 89 to 103 RMB.

2) The Transport Service is nearby to the Main Service with many long distance buses to different destinations available. Tourists can choose most convenient routes between the two stations based on their travel plans.
3) The third station is called Dayun Bus Station since it is beside Dayun Hotel and the cheapest long-distance bus ticket is 50 RMB from Dali to Kunming.
