canying gongsi), as the mouthful of a name implies, is certainly
not for the faint hearted. The chefs here dish out a variety of dishes,
mostly made using tortoise, fresh-water turtle and snake, as their
primary ingredients. The Chinese are stalwart, and perhaps rightly
so, in their belief that these delicacies are of medical benefit,
making the consumer less vulnerable to disease. Prices here are expensive,
but the food is good and interesting. |
