Hong Kong - Lantau Island
Of
all the outlying islands, the greatest in size is Lantau, situated west
of Hong Kong island. The highest peak of the island is Lantau Peak that
rises 935 meters high at the heart of Lantau. Lantau Peak is the second
highest peak in Hong Kong. Tourist attractions include Shek Pike Reservoir,
Silver Mine Bay and Po Lin Monastery which is the site of the largest
outdoor sitting bronze Buddha.
