A basic three-dimensional transportation network has been set upin
Huangshan Mountain area. Apart from the railway and highway trunk
lines leading to the major large and middle-sized cities in Anhui
and adjacent Provinces, Hefei-Huangshan highway and Hefei-Wuhu expressway
have opened for service. The land transportation to Huangshan Mountain
will be greatly improved after the construction of Hefei-Hangzhou
expressway and Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge is completed. This will
be further enhanced with the addition of newly operated 45/46 bi-directional
Fuzhou--Beijing train ( with a stopover at
Huangshan ), 2l9/220 bi-directional Huangshan-Shanghai train
and
the special Huangshan-Nanjing holiday sleeper train, as well as
the existing railway lines.
There is just one airport in the Huangshan area and Huangshan Airport
operates more than 20 domestic air routes including Beijing, Shanghai,
Amoy, Hefei, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guilin,
Kunming, and Fuzhou, totaling 70 flights. There is also one regular
chartered airplane between Huangshan and Hongkong every week. With
the opening of the Tunxi-Huangshan highway and the Huangshan Yungu
cable car, Yuping cable car and Taiping cable car, the transportation
access to Huangshan Mountain is more very convenient nowadays.
In winter, the majorrailways, highways
and air flights are in normal operation.
