Summary of Scenic Spots:
On the west of An Duo is vast uninhabited Qiang Tang Wasteland. The whole wasteland is 2400 km long and about 700 km wide occupying 2/3 surface area of Tibet. It is 4500 m above the sea level on average and comprised by a series of desserts and lakes.
Summer is the most attractive season in Qiang Tang Wasteland featured by the green grass, blue lakes, wriggling rivers, twinkling snow-mountains and wild animals in groups or scattered.

Plateau Lake Group: This is the most concentrated region of lakes in China with are more than 1500 lakes of different sizes and most of them are inland salt lakes. Along the circulation route, you will pass plaeau lake group centered by La Mu Cuo (4718 m above sea level/ 1920 km2), Se Lin Cuo (4530 m/1540 km2), Ye Yong Cuo (4535 m/835 km2), Ma Pang Yong Cuo (4588 m/412 km2) and Yang Zhuo Yong Cuo (4441 m/638 km2). Most of the Tibetan treat those lakes as "holy water". Many Tibetans go all the way round regardless of danger or difficulty to make a pilgrimage and purify their soul by bathing there.

Terrestrial hot springs: There are gas hold and mouth of springs that concentrate along the circulation route and the temperature of them ranges from 93 degree to 172 degree in Celsius. The height of the spurted hot air can rise up to 70 m which indicates the activity of earth crust in Qing Zang Plateau.

Wild Animals Zoo: Wild animals include wild yaks, Tibet antelopes, chamois, yellow sheep, wolves, bears, leopards are often seen in huge numbers which comprises a magnificent sight.

Marl Marshland: Large marl marshland with the highest elevation on earth scatter at Di Qing Basin near Hu Bing Region.

Frozen Earth: This is a frozen earth belt of many years with the highest elevation in the low and medium latitudes and the largest surface area which is a unique geomorphologic scene in North Tibet. There is phenomenon of spurting water volcanoes.

Distinctive Climate: The special geographical location and the physical features throw great impact on atmospheric circulation and the formation of climate in north Tibet characterized by thin air, low atmospheric pressure, low oxygen content, high radiation, long day-time, low temperature, frequent rainstorm, hailstone, heavy snow and night rain. If you do not possess good physical strength, you may suffer from mountain sickness. But most of ordinary people can gradually adapt to the Tibet climate.

Tu Zi Embankment: It is an extensive grassland and the paradise of innumerable cave animals. It must feast your eyes in observing these animals.

Ruins of Gu Ge Dynasty: You may be surprised to learn that this desolate and uninhabited region used to be thriving and prosperous Gu Ge Dynasty in the 10th century. More than 600 Buddhist pagodas contain fine paintings, statues Buddhist scripture revealing the brilliant culture of Gu Ge Dynasty and the life of Tibetans.

Shen Shan Holy Lake:Gang Ren Bo Qi Mountain is 6714 m above the sea level and it is next to Ma Pang Yong Cuo Holy Lake. This is a famous Holy Land of Buddhist and a place to practice Buddhism. The annual function hold there is an exceptional grand occasion.

Life to move about in search of pasture: It is hard to imagine that Tibetans still move about in search of pasture in this wasteland. The adverse natural environment bring up the physique and concepts of Tibetans embodied in their family tradition, marriage and society.

It is an arduous trip, a challenge to both one's own strength and will. One will have to bear hardness and unexpected difficulties that may appear during the journey. Possession of good physical strength and outstanding courage is a must before starting the journey.
It will take around 23 days for the whole trip and the best reason to travel is April to October.
