As a city surrounded by the
sea, Zhuhai abounds in marine products and its main local specialties
are oyster oil, crabs, lotus root starch, lychee, pearls, straw-woven
ware and clam worm. Clam worm is 30 cm long and shaped like a centipede
but it has many more legs than a centipede. It contains high nutritional
facts and tastes delicious, although it looks unappealing. Tourists cannot
miss it when eating in Zhuhai as a local experience.
There are some large department stores, pearl shops and dried marine
products market in Zhuhai that all sell local products.

It is a modern comprehensive store selling souvenirs, recreational gear,
commodities and food. Located at the Jinshan Road, Jida District, the
store covers an area of 33,000 square meters with more than 7,000 products
on sale.
 Wanzai
Seafood and Dried-food Market
The market is near Wanzai Port, facing Macau across the sea. Marine products
and special native products are available for purchase, including sea
horse, starfish, sea urchin, sea cucumber, sea snake, blood clam, oyster,
crab, shark's fin and white bait etc.
